• This is a handmade red Christmas candle, that stands 24" tall and is 1.5" in diameter.
• Traditionally, this tall red Christmas candle was fixed firmly in a turnip with both ends cut off and a hole scooped out. The turnip was then wrapped in Christmas paper and decorated with red holly. It was said the light from the candle, which was left near a window without a blind, was to give light to Our Blessed Lady and her Son on their way looking for lodgings.
• A black 1.5" socket candleholder is available to hold this candle safely and securely.
